What percentage of your hair is visibly gray (is this a trick question?)

Very little is grey-I look like I did years ago just not as thin. And, I do not dye my hair.

If you had one year free of all responsibility and unlimited funds, what would you do?

Travel, adopt 4 or more children who are in sibling groups and lost their families.

What are the most rewarding things that you have done in your life?

Teaching the children of missionaries in Bolivia, Germany, Swaziland, and now Korea. Also loving international students and sharing Christ with them as they matured and adjusted to living in the US.

What rewarding things do you plan to do in your life?

Raise children, become a better wife, prepare an acculturation program for foreign faculty like ourselves here in South Korea, learn a new language, someday raise honey bees with my husband, visit Israel again this time with my husband and I hope to learn much more about my own heritage. I dream of acting in some Shakespear comedy.

What are your favorite non-family related things to do in your free time?

Quilt, help a friend decorate her home on a shoe-string, visit art museums, learn something new every year...I would like to learn to roller-blade and drive a mortorcycle...try some new international food, go to a symphony or play, and I really like to see Shakespeare.

How would you best describe your idea of "being successful?"

Living my life to the Glory of God and rising to the challenges, risks and responsibilities presented to me each day.

What are your most vivid memories of your days in Ridgewood?

I could hardly get through the halls to my classes because I was so thin and the press of students would push me down the hall the wrong way sometimes. I would often find a big guy going in the right direction and get behind him to get to class.

Going into the girl's room and smiling to students who were smoking or stoned sitting on the floor in there.

Chemistry class when my partner stirred instead of leaving things alone and the stuff flew out of the test tube and (SORRY TO SAY) hit his hand and the spot when I had been sitting until I had jumped out of my seat.

I loved the advanced history class where we had to debate the causes of war for one country

I didn't have my first kiss when I tried out for a play that required a kiss. I saved that kiss....

What achievement or activity are you most proud of in your life?

Serving God by teaching the children of missionaries and learning to do one new thing each year for the last twenty years or so.

What single piece of wisdom would you like to leave for the next generation?

A life lived without God denies the person the fullness ONLY their creator can give them. A life lived with God brings His grace, peace and resources no matter what you face and life is NEVER EVER BORING! So, seek God while you are young and God promises He will be found when we seek Him with all of our hearts.

How have you changed since high school?

I am much more confident and up front doing the things God designed me to do.

What else should we know about you?!

I love to respond to emails and people who want to know more about faith in Jesus Christ. I enjoy reading and love to receive packages! I still dream of visiting the 50 states and wonder when I can do so to see the beauty all over America.
