Walk the Appalachian Trail.
What are the most rewarding things that you have done in your life?
Raising two wonderfully inquisitive kids with my wife; and building a successful career out of my hobby and passion.
How would you best describe your idea of "being successful?"
Being respected and supported by those around you.
What are your most vivid memories of your days in Ridgewood?
Not many “vivid” memories…most are a bit blurred, but I do recall one amazing evening climbing to the top of the RHS bell tower. There was also some good times at Upper Ridgewood Church Christmas services with Dave Howell, Ted Harrison and Linda Spackman. I can't forget all those hot summer nights working at Van Dyks Ice Cream, or riding bikes off the dock at Graydon (more late night entertainment), and hanging out & swimming at Ramapo Reservation.
What single piece of wisdom would you like to leave for the next generation?
Don't take anything for granted.
How have you changed since high school?
I've gotten older, hopefully wiser and a bit more cynical about our place in history and the impact our society is having on the world at large.
