What I’ve learned? Everybody gets sick and dies, but seems to want to live forever as long as someone else pays for it and they can just take a pill instead of changing their lifestyle. In my opinion, the quality of life is more important than just the quantity…but what do I know?
Volunteer and Professional Activities:
Mostly involving the kids. 6 years division 6 soccer coach (What I call Scrum Soccer!). Sports Car Club of America, licensed Solo Safety Steward. Registered Pharmacist.
Current hobbies and interests:
Solo and ProSolo National SCCA Autocrosser. NJ Super Stock Champion (Corvette Z06) and Ranked 8th Nationally in ProSolo SM2. It’s just a hobbie, but what a hobbie!.
Golf
What percentage of your hair is visibly gray (is this a trick question?)
About 50%, and it’s still there too!
If you had one year free of all responsibility and unlimited funds, what would you do?
1) Travel across Canada by train
2) Spend a week in the desert star gazing
3) Ballon ride in Sante Fe
4) Cruise to Alaska and explore
5) Great wall of China
6) Spring Mountain Driving School
7) And since I would have unlimited funds I’d give away as much money as possible to those who need it and to some who don’t.
What are the most rewarding things that you have done in your life?
Family. Helping others. The rest isn’t really as important nor as relevant. God has been good to me, I’m not sure why but I thank him every day.
What rewarding things do you plan to do in your life?
Show and help others reach internal satisfaction and peace through example. There are many things in life that we can control and must hold ourselves accountable for, but most things in life are just entertainment. If you can figure out which are which then your life will become much more enjoyable! BTW, most of your non-immediate family (those not living under your roof) are just entertainment (once you view them that way your family get togethers will become much more fun).
What are your favorite non-family related things to do in your free time?
Autocrossing, but I’m starting to include the kids in that too.
How would you best describe your idea of "being successful?"
Creating things that help improve the quality and quantity of people’s lives. Fulfilling needs.
What are your most vivid memories of your days in Ridgewood?
Baseball, and playing Oblige with the chess club. Mostly I was just trying to get out. There are many people I remember, most of them positively. If you actually cared enough to read this and remember me then I probably remember you too. Don’t be shy, old memories are the ones we take to the grave, it’s the new ones we forget!
If you have a bad memory of me then I apologize. If you have a good memory of me then e-mail it to me and make me smile. If you have no memory of me then our High School was too big! Send your kids to a smaller High School!
What achievement or activity are you most proud of in your life?
Marrying the right sole mate, raising 4 wonderful children (knock wood), and being financially independent (Thank you Pfizer!).
What single piece of wisdom would you like to leave for the next generation?
Every day is a gift and you are in control of what you do with it. What did you do today and what are you going to do tomorrow? And if you want to do nothing then that’s OK too as long as it’s your choice. Enjoy life, because it’s short and precious. If you don’t like your current situation, then change it…nuf said!
How have you changed since high school?
Probably not much, about 20 more lbs and a little more grey but I still sit in the back of the room and crack corny, sarcastic jokes that make people chuckle. Probably a little more outgoing thanks to college, but still a thinker.
What else should we know about you?!
I am happy, and wish the same for you! Make it a great day and don’t forget that God loves you too!
